Forty-two years after landing on the moon, the Speedmaster will take to the skies on board a plane with a wingspan wider than an Airbus A380, yet less than 1/100th of the weight. The Solar Impulse plane will embark on its maiden test flight before ultimately attempting to circumnavigate the earth using only the power of the sun.
