TMS Philippines - The world's just a scan away - TMS Mobile Service: Presentation

It’s been few years now that mobile phones offer internet access via GPRS or 3G. But it’s really difficult to access an Internet Mobile Site (WAP Site) because the navigation of the phone is not user friendly and it’s also difficult to type the wap address on the phone.
2 years ago, the 2D barcodes (an evolution of the traditional barcodes that can host more information) arrived (first in Japan) and offered a user friendly way to access a Mobile Internet Site on the phone.

TMS use this technology and the International standard 2D Barcodes to give direct access to its suite of mobile services.

To read the 2D barcodes with your phone, you need a “barcode reader” to be installed on your phone. "TMS Reader", is a FREE application that you can download, same as downloading ring tones and by opening this application, it allows you to access whenever you want to use TMS services.

When you see a 2D barcode in your favorite Magazine or Web site, you can use the TMS reader to scan it or you can just enter the TMS short code below the 2D barcode to access directly to the services.

How to start with TMS?

Be sure that your GPRS, 3G or WIFI phone service is activated (contact your Telco to enable it, it's FREE).

1) Download and install the FREE TMS Hyperlink “barcode reader”. Go to TMS Wap site direct with your phone. http://wap.tmsrepublic.com, or TMS web site www.tmsrepublic.com. You can also Text “TMS Reader” to 2929 (in Philippines) to receive the downloaded link.

2) Open the application and Scan the Barcode with your camera phone (depending on your phone model, the code is either immediately recognized by the camera or you have to click on the barcode; follow the menu on your phone) or you can enter the code (the numerical code underneath the 2D barcode) just open TMS - menu - option / short codes.

3) You will directly have an access to the Mobile bonus linked to the code.

How much will it cost me?

The downloading of the application and the use of TMS are FREE excluding the Telco charges for the Internet connection (if you don’t use Mobile WIFI).
After that, it’s exactly the same as Internet and Web sites. You can then go to Free Mobile sites or to Mobile stores to buy contents or other products.
